Hi
Does anyone know if having either a bow or bay installed increases a homes value or if its completely irrelevant?
Cheers

I quite like bay windows, so I'd pay a fraction more for the added character in the right property, I imagine the amount extra I would offer wouldn't go very far towards paying the cost of having them fitted though.0

Are you aware that planning permission should be sought before altering a flat window to bow/bay window .personally i dont think it adds valueif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0

It depends on the house. Completely out of character and it will devalue the property..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
Retro fitting bays is a big structural job, bow are much much simpler.
It's not a job you would do to add value though, but if kept symetrical shouldn't detract/lower house price.
2 points though, bay windows are great, you feel you a re sitting outside the house but still cosy and warm. However the tradition heating route would be to site the rad under the window, curved rads are now very expensive, mine were in when we moved in 18 years ago, I just hope I never have to replace them.
Bow windows, just a bigger shelf to sit junk on, or at least they would be with my loy;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
