Standard Life Bonus shares

Has anyone had any details through the post from Standard Life about the bonus shares, thought we were due the bonus shares (1 for every 20 shares) in July.

I got my dividen shares the other month, but I have not heard anything.

I haven't received my bonus shares yet, should I have?

Also, whats the best way to sell the shares, mine are registered in the 'Standard life Share Account' (Computershare ?) who charge 0.5% + 0.5% Uk Stamp Duty, I think self trade are cheaper but I assume I would have to pay to get them out of the SL account??

Remember if your shares are in the nominee account you wont get a cert.

My shares are with Selftrade. I just checked my account on-line today and noticed a message dated 12th July that was a pdf that looks like a letter but I never received a copy by post.

The letter stated...

"Terms: BONUS ISSUE As a holder of Standard Life plc Ordinary shares you may be entitled to receive
new Bonus shares. If you received your holding (or part of) on demutualisation or bought shares in the
preferential offer at a discounted price, you will be eligible to receive 1 bonus share for every 20 held
continuously from the date of flotation to 10 July 2007. We have a list of affected clients provided by the
registrars; however it is possible that it is not exhaustive. In order to help us with the claim if you believe
you are entitled to receive Bonus shares please notify us by letter or secure message no later than 10
August 2007. All the replies will then be checked against the list we have. If your details are not on the
list supplied there is a facility to add them. We will then lodge a claim with the registrars of Standard Life
who will then validate the claim against their records and if in agreement issue the Bonus shares within
5 days of receipt.
Should you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service centre
on 0845 0700 720.
It is recommended that the above information be printed for future reference."

So if you have them in Selftrade... go secure message them now if you haven't already to make sure your name's on their list.
