Sony dab radio - is it dead?

To my astonishment, earlier Thread reveals mine is 6 years old.

I love it, but it failed to work last week - battery and mains - and I don't know if it's permanently dead.

Is there any hope? things to try? Plugs/fuses all OK. Other locations bring no joy.

Thankyou for any diagnoses:-)

Sounds fatal, it might be a cheap fix, but whether it's economical for someone to look at it or not...well probably not TBH

He supplied a new lead. Perhaps one is cheaper online, but I didn't know what the problem was and I am content, also with this as knowledge for an elimination point in the future.
