I got a free range turkey from aldi last year. Half price two days before Christmas and I will have another go this year. If they don't have any I will buy frozen and pimp it up a bit.
  • I get Morrison's Free Range Turkey at £4.57/kg as opposed to the blog's £8.71/kg.

(I used ISpyPrices and searched for medium turkey free range)

Iceland frozen Easy Carve Boneless Basted Turkey Breast Joint 900g @ £5 will do for me.

Yep, it's amazing what you can make look the cheapest just by what you leave out of the list.

I just went to the morrisons site, there's nothing better than ignoring the monkey and talking to the organ grinder.

    Let him be.

I believe the "sheltered accommodation" allow him more PC time at Christmas if he's been good.

He has to post a lot of pointlessly argumentative twaddle or else his gallstones start playing up.

My point was plain, but I'll explain it for you and scritti.

It's always best to speak to the organ grinder not the monkey.

In other words, if you want to know the price of the cheapest turkey a shop sells, go to the shop (either online or in person) not a blog post.

Who let you out of the aldi thread? I thought you weren't allowed to talk to normal people!
  • I see, it was the blog post you were picking at. As you had quoted my post and perhaps because I read you post late at night, I thought you were taking issue with my post.
  • I want a crown but the frozen one in Waitrose was £30. I am sending OH to Lidl to have a look tomorrow.

Do you think they will be just as good?
