I took out a mortgage with Northern Rock in 2006 £172000 was a mortgage and £8000 unsecured loan come together mortgage. Phoned NRAM today to make a inquiry about whats happening and was told that we are still looking into it. Which I fined very strange because some people have been paid already. Thank you
Maybe you just need to wait.0 -

I'm trying to read the forums and get some idea if I have been affected or not. I took out a Northern Rock Together Mortgage (secured) in 2003 with a Together Unsecured Loan attached to it.......and redeemed them both in 2007 when we remortgaged to another lender. From what I gather the affected loans may only be from certain dates (after 2008 ???).....I have called Nram today and they advise me to submit a letter with all my details and they will investigate....not sure if they will just fob me off saying I'm not affected.....not sure how I can prove otherwise as I don't have any paperwork....any advice welcomed - thanks0

NRAM have confirmed that the second amount of address is genuine in my case and have credit my account with it.
They are for some reason unable to provide a statement showing both credits on it (but does show all other credits and debits) and I have been promised someone will call me tomorrow and tell me why. This bit totally baffles me!0 -
I am unable to find reference in the Consumer Credit Act to confirm that an unsecured loan for home improvements is exempt. Can anyone help???0

I have emailed them re home improvements.. Nothing in my loan agreement to state what the loan was for0

I took out a £20,000 personal loan with Northern Rock in 2004, which was redeemed 3 years later when I had to redeem my mortgage (with a different company). I've moved twice since then, so any communication would not have reached me. I can't work out whether this applies to me or not; I have no idea whether I had PPI with the loan, either. Is this two separate issues, and could I potentially claim on both grounds?
It's all very confusing!0 -
Hi there been reading about Nram having to compensate numerous people who took out the together mortgage.
I took one out and borrowed £20024.92 on top of my mortgage so will i be in line for compensation?
I've done a bit of reading but believe its a loan needed over £25000?
