Thanks.

I made the mistake of buying a Lexmark printer about five years ago, and then found out you couldn't get the cartridges anywhere but PC World and they were horrifically pricey.
Rather than pay those prices I threw away a brand new machine as a set of cartridges was almost the same as the machine cost.
I put it down to experience and not checking before I bought. A mistake I will never make again."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

Thanks for your reply.
I was given the printer free with a laptop some years ago. I have been able to find the cartridges for about £7 each but wondered if there were any cheaper elsewhere.0 -

I think the ones for the Lexmark printer I bought were about £35 each! I bought a new HP printer for less than the cost of one of Lexmark's cartridges, and the cartridges are about £18 for a pair."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. The mistake you made was not seeking advice here; you would have been advised to get a universal cartridge refill kit.poppasmurf_bewdley wrote: »Rather than pay those prices I threw away a brand new machine as a set of cartridges was almost the same as the machine cost.
