You appear to think the lender is doing something wrong writing to the parties to the mortgage. It isn't.I am a mortgage broker. This does not appear to be the case, which can only be confirmed by the lender.
That being the case, the lender will continue to mail copies of all correspondence to all parties name on the mortgage at the last known address.
HTH
So not only are they constantly reminding me of the past financial stress, causing my young daughter to ask why we get letters to someone with the same last name but they are also wasting paper. Great.0 -

They're doing what they legally have to - your frustration is misdirected, I'm afraid. She IS still on the mortgage, so instead of lambasting them for doing what they have to do, why not see if you can remortgage to get her off the mortgage? Failing that, sell the house.
You mention your wife and daughter - are you remarried? If so, can the pair of you together afford the mortgage enough to get it put in your names?I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks for this answer it has made things a little clearer. Remortgaging isn't an option as we are aiming to sell and move so it looks like I will have to grin and bear it until then.
Thanks for the responses everyone.0 -

No I still believe there could be some new kind of legislation preventing divorced couples from receiving mail for their ex partners but that's beyond the scope of this thread.0 -

An easy way to solve this would be to find the new address for your ex-wife and give NRAM that, the letters will then stop as they'll be directed to her current address instead of her old address...I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
