The downside of stoozing

in Credit cards
I don't do debt. I normally pay off my credit card every month but as i was planning some large purchases I thought why not stooze them, especially as halifax were offering a 0% credit card.
Well silly me. The first purchase I tried was refused. I tried multiple times, each time refused. No text or call to ask if I were really me and really trying to buy some stuff. Put a complaint in, all resolved or so I thought. Was assured it was a fraud check and nothing similar would have happened if I had try to buy in a shop rather than online. Tried to buy something on cyber Monday. No go. Again no attempt to contact me. Had to lose the discount or pay on another card. Went to put a deposit on something else in a real shop. Card declined. Shop assistants and other customers looking at me and clearly thinking I am up to something dodgy. Never been so humiliated in my life.
Halifax think there is something wrong with the card. There is no record of my failed attempt to use the card on cyber Monday so 'it must have been a fault on the website'. Er no, another card worked fine. They offer to send me a new one - it will take 5 days. Ah but that means I will lose the discount. No problem say halifax, you have enough money in your current account, just pay on a debit card. Anyone else think this is an pretty ropey way to treat a customer? So I get humiliated and then either have to wait for the new card and lose a £247 discount, or I lose the chance to stooze or to spread my payments, I lose the protection of paying on a cc in case the shop goes bust before delivering my goods (in February next year) but it doesn't matter because I had the cash anyway?

This is a problem with the card, not a 'downside' of stoozing.
In fact, you have not lost anything as a result of getting this card except the interest that you could have earned if it worked.0 -
Was just going to say the same, this doesnt have anything to do with "stoozing"??0
