Hi
I moved house in March this year and forgot to notify the DVLA of my change of address.
I renewed my car tax at the end of October only to receive a letter at my new address from PE stating that I overstayed at a Morrisons car park in March this year (which I did). However, due to a lack of response to their letters to me (at my old address) they have issued a CC claim and a subsequent judgment against my old address.
The cost is £185 - is this worth fighting given that I forgot to notify the DVLA of my change of address?
I have requested a copy of my credit file from the agencies to check for the CCJ
Any advice welcome.

When did you notify DVLA of the change, if not until the tax ran out then I think that you will have problems getting the judgement set aside as you failed in your legal duty to notify DVLA of your change of address so handed the vultures an easy win after them taking "reasonable" steps to notify you.0

If you want to buy stuff on credit, get a mortgage, get a loan, insure your car, house, or hamster, you would be well advised to pay PE what you owe. You should then ensure that your credit records are brought up to date.
Further advise, but I expect that you know this now, is always tread the small print,You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
