Hire car insurance

Bad couple of weeks!
I was hit by a 3rd party 2 weeks ago, they admitted fault. Some bad luck but no major problem as its being sorted and i have a hire car provided by the other parties insurers.
The real bad luck start here; on Saturday i was involved in another accident, this time my fault in the hire car. The hire car looks unscathed but the other party has a dent and a cracked bumper.
I expect ill have to pay an excess to Hertz the hire car company and i know ill have to tell my insurers but will this affect my no claims on my normal policy?
I feel bad for the other party though as hertz were less than helpful in providing the insurers details meaning he will probably have to make a claim on his insurance and have to pay the excess (although he will get it back).

Assuming you haven't put the hire car on your own insurance then this won't affect your NCD.0

Most large car hire places have very complex insurance setups and so it isnt as straight forward as you and I who just have a policy with X. In most cases small cases without tens of thousands of PI claim are dealt either internally or by a claims handling company instructed by the hire company rather than the insurer.
As said, if you are under the car hire company cover then no impact on your NCD but it needs to be declared as a separate claim0
