Having stopped at Charnock Richard in both direction (it's halfway) I can confirm their signage is not compliant, and a complaint to them may get it killed off, especially if you stopped between 11pm and 6am in a car.

Apart from anything else, for strict compliance, the Car Park must have big blue P signs, and must have 4 per 100 + 4 disabled Bays. Not a single service area I have visited complies with those two DfT requirements.

And I'm happy to act as a professional driver witness in that respect. though there are others here who can be better witnesses, such as Mr Prankster.

My last 3 appeals to PE (for friends) only challenged GPEOL and all where cancelled by return E mail, my car (wife driving) forgot to pay and stayed for 2 1/2 hours I did not get a PCN, suggests they know me !! all at the Priory Centre car park in Worksop, I have assisted 18 people with this car park in 2014, all successful

Yesterday we received a letter from PE saying that the charge was cancelled and there was no outstanding balance due.

Very short, generic letter. But very sweet.
