Just wondered, I paid a cheque into my Natwest current account on Saturday morning but it has not appeared on my on-line account yet. I realise that the money will not be available for a few days but I assumed it would appear on my statement this morning?
I did look at the questions and answers on the Natwest site but could not find an answer when it should show on-line I wondered if anyone here knows?
(it's such a palaver contacting Natwest to ask!)

Depends. I presume you paid it in at Natwest?
If they processed it in there & then, it would usually show on your account (although maybe post dated to today)
If it was just thrown in a pile for processing later, it'll appear when it's processed.
It might be a palaver, but if you're concerned, I would suggest you make that call.0 -
Thanks for the reply.
It was paid into a Natwest branch but not the one my account is with.
I am not concerned really just assumed it would have appeared today but as you say if it's not there by Wednesday I will contact them.0 -
You could have done a search on Natwest's website and it would have given you the answer.
Saturday Cheque is paid in.
Sunday -
Monday -
Tuesday Cheque appears as a credit on your statement with Mondays date.
Wednesday Funds start to earn interest.
Thursday -
Friday Funds can be withdrawn however the cheque can still be recalled.
Tuesday At close of business you can be sure the cheque has been cleared.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

FWIW I did search but I never found that! Thanks that is very useful.
(I was dubious of asking here as I realise it make one look to lazy to search but I did spend time searching Natwest but was unsuccessful)
