How do I get goods bought by credit card?

I ordered and paid for a gas stove in September and was told it woul take three weeks to deliver. No show, can I cancel the order and get my money back?

Ideally, yes - but you need to contact the seller in the first instance.

First you do your best to cancel the order and to get your money back from the supplier.

Failing this, you contact your card provider and initiate chargeback procedure: Visa, Mastercard & Amex Chargeback. Beware of 120 days limit.

If it was a credit card, you have even stronger protection, but it's unlikely that you'll need to resort to it: Section 75 refunds

    Depends.

Please log back in as we need more information to provide you with appropriate advice, :)

    e.g.
Have you spoke to the supplier? If so, what are they saying?
How and where did you order the stove from?
Was the item purpose built, customised to your requirements, etc?
Was 'timing to be of the essence' and agreed part of the contract?
What does your contract say regarding the the ability to cancel?

Probably should be on the Consumer Rights board, as how you paid does not really affect your rights under the underlying contract.
