missed payments?

Hi all, just trying to sort my credit report out.
I'm just with Noddles free report at moment.
Next year I plan to go for Mortgage but have up to 5 missed payments dating back to the start of 2010.
The balance was in full in May 2010.
However, on this entry it is logged as so....
Account Closed 29/12/2009
But as I mentioned there are missed payment markers in the Early months of 2010.
Can any one advice me on this and to dispute it I need to write a letter to call call credit(noddle). Obviously they are with the times and why I can't just email them is beyond me.
I completely aware that missed payments are bad and could stop me getting Mortgage....
are missed payments over 5 years old still likely to effect me?
Is it worth me writing this letter? Suppose if they correct it...it will make 'missed payments' that little bit older.
Thanks again.....what a carry on this is to get on property ladder!

Ok so in simple terms, how is account closed 29/12/2009 but there are still signs of missed payment in 2010?
How likely are missed payments of this 'age' likely to effect a Mortgage application?
Can any body help? Thanks0 -
Worth checking if the other CRAs have the same closed date and same missed payments date.
Could it be that the account was closed to new spending from Dec09 but that there was still a balance outstanding and on which you missed some payments in early 2010?
Or do you have your own evidence that the account was closed/paid in full in Dec09?
Missed payments of any age can be an issue for some mortgage lenders, but the older they are the less of an impact they are likely to have. Its unlikely to stop you being able to get a mortgage as a single issue, but as with all credit applications it depends on all other factors, I guess if everything else about your application was borderline (affordability/deposit etc) then it could be enough to mean a lender would decline you).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
No it was paid in full in the summer of 2010.
So aye it might be because there was still money to pay.
So it's now likely that them missed payments will show till summer 2016?0
