Is there a 'good' radiator brand?

Hi all

Screwfix are offering discounts on Kudox radiators, but as I'm not sure of any preferred brands, I can't tell if these are a good deal.

Is there something better value or more of a recommendation, please?

Thanks in advance

  • Not a recommendation but when I had a radiator installed in a new conservatory my heating guy used a Purmo brand and I trust his judgement.

  • Stelrad are decent
  • I second Stelrad, reasonably priced and large product range. Or if you have money to burn and want something of higher quality try Hudevad.

Good in what way, in terms of build quality and looks, or heat output? Heat wise, a radiator is a radiator (comparing like for like).

I have kudox rads, they're fine.

The rule of thumb is to ensure that the radiator has a BS Kitemark stamped on it. Then aim for the longest guarantee that you can find. This should weed out any dodgy radiators from India and China. But also check it is a recognised brand, and not some counterfeit product.

There are good brands out there including Stelrad, Myson, De Longhi.
