  • Hi Peaceful , No he is going to have to acknowledge his debts . I am just going to pay £200 arrears off tomorrow for him ,but it might be worse than what paper work I have found . If so then we are going to have to write a few letters ! There is one loan from Loansdirect , which I was led to believe he had a loan from the bank ,but it is considerably more monthly than the originally loan !So think he needs to come clean and I will help and support him all the way to be debt free (that's if he wants to take advise and help ) It is a much happier way of life .
Tell it how it is , It was only ment to be a joke , perhaps I have a strange sense of humour ( smilie inserted ! )
  • Just to let you know hubby home ,he confessed broke down and a big cuddle is in order . Not over yet but the rest can wait till after the funeral . I am happy that he can share this and together we will get thought it . I hope xx

As for the Barclaycard does he have online access to his account ? My oh has this card and I asked via the chat if they could change the payment date they said no but they could change the date the statement is produced thus changing the payment date ! A bit long winded but had the desired result.

I am sorry if I am off the mark (and I know couples sometimes have completely separate finances), but it seems extremely clinical they way you are discussing this.

I appreciate you have made sacrifices and of course he should too, but where has his debt come from? Is it for car things? Or essential bills etc? Has he been making frivolous purchases etc? I would probably be upset if I had been cutting back and my hubby hadn't but I just find it very strange because Mr Anon and I share everything.

It just seems odd to me.

Best of luck with the funeral.xx
