asprotect?

what is asprotect? i googled it but i don't know if it's something i installed or that came with the computer. im thinking it came with the computer as the lastest update was in 2005. the reason im asking is because it shows up in regseeker and ccleaner that it's an invalid entry, and i know regseeker throws up a lot of false positives so i'm going to leave it until someone can tell me whether it's usually pre-installed or not. thanks
