Royal mail lost parcel. What do I do now?

I am hoping it will arrive on Monday. Two parcels arrived Thursday, one was carded Friday and one got there today. I sent another much larger consignment (50 x 100g balls) with Hermes, but I understand they have a backlog after a depot fire.
It is unfortunate, there has been a business selling in the group who appear to have taken several thousand pounds of buyers money and then disappeared. I have lots more to sell, but wanted to make sure the first parcels were delivered before selling more, to show I was honest. Oh well, these things happen.0 -
Last year one of my ebay parcels went 'missing' so I refunded the buyer and I made a claim to Royal Mail for the loss after 15 days. It took them a week or so to send me a cheque for the loss.
I'm actually a little suspicious that the item actually went missing as after I refunded the buyer I was looking at their feedback and over a short period of time they had been extremely unlucky with their purchases as quite a few had not arrived.0 -

Is it going to make any difference that the post office didn't give me separate proofs of posting for each parcel?
As long as the receipt shows the basic address of the recipient you will be fine for up to £20 of compensation.
Then you have been unlucky, I have always been paid out, except in 2 instances- and both by co incidence for the old recorded service. One claim was refused as the post code was different on the RM database , the 2 nd claim was refused as it got nasty and complicated with the buyer becoming abusive to RM.ballisticbrian wrote: »You will be hard pushed to get any compensation out of Royal Mail for an untracked service what-so-ever.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I am delighted to say that the parcel has arrived. Not sure if royal mail delivered it today. Thank you all for your help. I will see how delivery goes with the Hermes parcel I sent and will consider using them in the future.0

I find that when I send several parcels to the same address on the same day they get delivered together.0

I sent five parcels at the same time, but they were to five different addresses. The one that took the longest to arrive was to Essex (I live in Birmingham). Maybe my explanation was a bit jumbled.0 -
A lot of post has been delayed this week due to Black Friday deals and cyber Mon. I've stopped listing now till after Xmas - can't stand the grief lol - glad yours turned up
