Hi
Wonder if anyone has got any ideas. I'm with British Gas on their standard tariff did a comparison using the energy saving club and can switch to Sainsburys energy (essentially staying with BG) and save £130 a year. British Gas offered me fix and reward with no exit fees. Am I right in thinking that I can switch to that tariff get the Amazon gift card then switch to Sainsburys energy with no penalties? I couldn't see a minimum term in the T&Cs
Any opinions would be great!

Which tariff are they offering to switch you to? If they are offering you a deal that involves moving to another fixed term tariff I should imagine that there is an early exit fee
EDIT: Never mind, as pointed out below BG do not seem to have early exit fees at the moment.0 -
None of the four BG tariffs available at the moment carry an exit fee.

Yeah none of the British Gas tariffs have exit fees so I should be ok in claiming the £50 amazon gift card then switching again to actually get a cheaper energy deal right?0

Can't see any problem with switching. Although you will probably still be with BG for 4-6 weeks when it is switching over.0
