The key discussion & speculation may be found towards the end of the thread. Possibly the last 80-100 posts (4-5 pages at the standard 20 posts per page) or so?had a look at it, but it quite long.
However, the answer will be found in the respective T&Cs. What conclusion did you draw when you read them? And why?0 -
Given that they use the same application staff you may struggle to get two accounts open at the same address - although you may have more luck if you go for a joint account and a single name one.
I would comment however that this may turn out to be hardest £150 you may ever have to work for - the application to fully opening process is not simple or straightforward and is very very slow involving lots of paperwork, phone calls and more.0 -

They are still very much a branch based bank; the people who opened them in branch (such as myself) seem to have a much smoother experience.
As for the accounts across both brands, you are ultimately contracting with Clydesdale Bank plc so any references in any T&Cs for one brand can be read to mean the other.Given that they use the same application staff you may struggle to get two accounts open at the same address - although you may have more luck if you go for a joint account and a single name one.

I would certainly recommend the branch route if you can.
I have done it by post - bar one visit to a branch to hand over photo ID etc - and it has been hard work. More than two weeks into the process - and its only just opened and still waiting for a debit card etc.
Other banks have done this in less than a week - all automated online with texts and emails to update you on progress. The Clydesdale only do things by Royal Mail - which at this time of the year can slow things. The debit card can take up to 10 days after account opening - other banks promise and deliver in 5 usually.
The banking advisor I saw at the branch even got me a cup of tea in a Clydesdale mug - I drank it while she checked, stamped and certified all my photo ID/address details.0
