christmas shopping stress

It was my day today to get most of the presents done. Having just become debt free, I don't seem to be able to buy anything.
I can't buy anything new, as I've learned to buy second hand stuff that is just as good.
I keep picking up boxes of cheap cards, then charity cards, then thinking I won't send any ... Moral dilemma
I watch people spending £10 on a tree decoration and wonder what on earth they are doing.
I stop for a coffee and think of it as a waste if its not a date with a friend.
I'm getting confused with all the BOGOF, three for twos, 10% off, 1% off your shopping next time you spend a million pounds etc.
I returned home with some wrapping paper for presents I haven't got, and a secret Santa for a party my DD is going to.
Its too early for a glass of wine isn't it? :rotfl:

It's never too early for a glass of wine after a shopping trip. I also headed out this morning as I start a new job next week so today was my last non-weekend opportunity.
I lost the will to live after about an hour when I realised I was throwing cheap rubbish into my basket just to get it over with. I did slightly better than you, as I also have gift tags and money envelopes.:D (and a couple of things for myself that weren't on the list but snuck in when I wasn't looking.)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I've tried taking those type of things back but by the time I've paid the travel it isn't very MSE so i'm stuck with them
