Joining 2 duvets together

I'm wondering the best way to keep 2 duvets together inside the cover?
I've tried press stud fasteners in the past but they come apart. I was thinking of perhaps using a strong thread and using large stitches and threading them together, that way I could then snip them off come spring time? Is this the best way?

i used a brightly coloured thread and joined mine like this, just along both ends, it was really easy to seperate because i could then see the stiches.0

What about a few strips of velcro top and bottom... then just rip apart when spring comes....:rotfl:#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I've used velcro in the past & it works fine. I'd suggest if you're going to do that you keep some spare & stick it on the bits attached to the duvet when you seperate them. Will stop them filling up with fluff from your linen & not being so 'sticky' next winter.0
