Scottish Power - Billing Issue

Hi
We are with Scottish Power for both Gas and Electricity. Around May / June this year we had our Electric meter change from an E7 to standard meter.
Since May we have not received a bill for Electricity. We have only been billed for Gas.
I am sure I read somewhere that after 12 months power companies cannot bill you for historic charges. Is this correct?
I have been in contact with Scottish Power more times thank I remember about this and I just can't be bothered to contact them anymore.

Hi paul, sorry unable to answer your question but it seems there is a general issue with them. I haven't been billed since April. Im all electric, submit readings every 2 weeks therfore I assumed I was in credit through summer.i queried it and now have gone from £70 credit to owing £180!
Having thought about it I understand it is probably right but obviously had I been billed correctly I wouldn't be hit with this before xmas.
Having read complaints on their fb I have now decided not to set up dd as people seem to have the wrong amount taken from their accounts.
Generally their customer service seems to be horrendous. I wish you luck getting it sorted!Cc debt; £4950 Tesco - £3.37 Boots - £3.94 £2 pot - £0.00 Sealed pot NO40 - £7.87 no spend days jan-3/31 £2 savers = £60 -
I've not been billed recently either and they've told me it is because they have a new billing system and some accounts haven't transferred correctly. Supposedly billing is suspended on my account until it is fixed. It appears to just be the gas that is a problem on mine as online shows me as being an electricity only customer whereas I'm actually dual fuel.0
