BT Home Hub/ Internet

Hi,
excuse my ignorance on this matter!
I have just purchased a new home and the house is sold as 'BT home hub enabled'. I wish to install internet (pref wireless) and want to know what is the best way to go about this. is there an alternative to bt for internet. phone is not a priority
house is in northern ireland. many thanks

    To use an unmodified BT Home Hub, you need a BT broadband connection and thus a BT line.

    The Home Hub has wireless support.

    If you install a BT line you can choose from a plethora of broadband providers but you'll need a new modem.

    The alternative is to get cable from Virgin Media.
