If you go to the specific university website they should have the term dates. Otherwise give them a ring. Different Uni's have very different start dates.0

what uni is it? usually the uni home page has a search function and if you put in 'term dates' it should come up. they've probably already been set in stone for the next 3 years (or more!) so you should be able to get them.:happyhear0

Reading's term doesn't start till 8th October but I think this is one of the last!! Lots starting mid September, I think.Student moneysaving club - member no. 6Uni Reading0

Its bound to be on the universities website somewhere. Manchester freshers starts on the 17th of Sept. with teaching starting the week later0

1st October for us but, as said, it varies wildly!
They don't actually say when to come back (or my uni doesn't anyway), but it's on the website. It's up to students to look it up.0 -
She normally gets a pack in August with her enrolment details and new dates for the academic year. Or she can ring up her course administrator and he/she will be able to tell her.0

Get her to find out. Sounds like she shouldn't really be at uni if she can't manage that.

In the OP's defence, sometimes we as parents want to know these things, and our offspring take a while to find out for us and brush us off with "I'll find out soon enough" type noises, whereas that's not 'soon enough' for us!
DS1 gave me a little mini-calendar that he found in his Fresher's pack last year, which had term dates for a couple of years on it. That's the only reason I know when his term starts, otherwise I know I'd be getting "sometime in the autumn" or "not for a couple of months" answers from him. When he goes back is of course an entirely separate question now he's in rented accommodation!Signature removed for peace of mind0
