incompetent, recruit by whom they knowDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Thought they outsourced call centres to ventura ?I do Contracts, all day every day.0

same staff were taken on by capita, mind you they will have a surprise in the new year as more staff will be told they are going to them.
other firm they use is tarta consulting in india who have no clue about billing, so when things go wrong....Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. I have just been notified by NPower that they have sorted our bill for a property we left 2 years ago, despite us repeatedly calling and emailing (thank goodness I have the emails) asking them to sort it out. They never took any money from our account, despite setting up a direct debit and never finalised the account even though we submitted meter readings.
I realise I have a good case not to pay this seeing as the problems were clearly the company's, I can prove that we asked repeatedly for them to correct the matter, and it exceeds 12 months.
What would all you wise people suggest I do at this point? I don't want to do anything by phone as I don't trust them at all. Is there a standard complaint letter I can use or some wording I need to adopt?
Thanks for all your help.
Getting back to the original question, if your debt is valid it can be claimed for up to 6 years(5 in Scotland) and it doesn't matter that it was the company's fault.
In the same way you could claim a refund for up to 6 years(e.g. you paid twice), even if you were at fault for not claiming before.
Also the 12 months irrelevant in this case - I assume you are thinking about the back-billing provision in the voluntary billing code.
If they never sent you any bills then you might only be liable to pay for the last 12 months of your occupancy under that code.
As advised above submit a complaint.
However, to repeat, a company's incompetence doesn't does not give you a 'good case not to pay' provided the bill is accurate.0
