My friend started full time work two weeks ago, she was offered the job out of the blue and is very happy to be back in work. Look, she won't need to pay it back all at once. When she gets the letter outlining what is owed, she will need to phone the number on the letter and let them know that she is not able to pay it all at once and that she can only afford to pay £1 per month.

At this point, they will try to be forceful, but if she stands her ground, then she may only end-up paying back £12 per month.
