It seems I am naive to believe in complete innocence as the best defence :o.

    Conversely:
1: but they would be wrong.
2: his job is to get to the truth, not entrapment. The truth in this case is that there is no guilt.
3: the information he is looking for is the one that gives him the proper result. In this case, he would be barking up the wrong tree.
4: his job is to prosecute guilty people.
    5: :o

This seems a flippant remark? Responding in kind: hopefully the EHO will be literate :o.

He'll be highly qualified yes, with many letters after his name, although gestapo wont be there.

Back on page 2, I said there were a lot of bad tempered posts in this thread.
Several pages on, the original poster should now be ignoring everyone who has posted, as the thread has degenerated into an argument which no one will win.
    .

Yes ^^^ I agree. I think there is a few opinions on here from posters who have been badly stung, and their views are very skewed and prejudiced.

The council are stringent yes, but they're not evil conniving monsters. They are just there to establish the truth, and many people do go there and lie, and they know that.

But as I said, it would be foolhardy to ignore the letter, as the next correspondence will be a summon to court. So do go OP, and take a legal representative with you.
    You didn't, did you? :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm frankly amazed this thread is so long.

    What a strange post

Cos its an opinion. An opinion which tells the OP what to do cos the rest of the thread is full of posts which are opinions telling the Op what to do. Albeit with some sort of self asserted authority. Very odd indeed.

It may be an opinion, but it doesn't make it strange LOL.

Yes, it's my "opinion" that the thread is no longer useful to the original poster as there are now far too many conflicting statements.

Opinions are the lifeblood of discussion forums, but this thread has gone on for far too long. (IMHO ;))

It certainly does, and the post below further reinforces this. Who is this poster to decide how long a thread that is not theirs to begin with? Really weird.

    But it's just their opinion.

Let's just agree to differ. :)
