ok here we go again my new and hopefully improved SOA as of 19/1/10.

Since my last update agessss ago, i have been medically terminated from employment and now receive state benefits, my lovely children have all left home to be independant at uni or with partners etc. My lovely hubby is still working hard and we decided on one last treat to ourselves 18 months ago and this has turned out to be our most expensive purchase ever our lovely dog.
so some things have changed but were still managing to keep our heads above the water so to speak.
As its a new year i decided it was time to look at our finances and see how things are going, we had a difficult time around the time i had to give up work and the delay in finding my way round the benefits system did take its toll on us and thats why were behind with our electricity.

We have £900 in savings (just occurred to me i could clear my elec arrears, or make a one off payment to my bank loan, have to find out if i can do this.)

    Income

    Benefits Me £547.60
    Salary OH £1200.00

    Total £1747.60

    Outgoings

    TV License £12.12
Ing Savings account (rainy day) £75.00
    Electricity £93.00 includes arrears
    BT averages £20.00-£25.00
    Pension £28.38
    AOL £14.99
    Life insurance £6.45
Car payments £200.00 at 11.3%APR 14 payments to go
new loan £167.59 APR 10.9% 6 months to go
    heating £75.00 (kerosene tank )
    mobiles £20.00 (both PAYG)
Eats drinks and smokes £500.00 (need to lower this i think)
    petrol £180.00 (big thirsty car)
    MOT ETC £40.00
    birthdays etc £40.00
    car insurance £40.00
    Dr/Dentist/optitian £23.50
    Christmas £40.00
Sky £19.92 (i know this is a luxury but im virtually housebound)
One offs, holidays, home decor, repairs, vet costs etc £50.00

    Total outgoings £1650.95

This leaves us with a little left over every month, thankfully so it would appear things are ok right now.

    Debts now stand at £3805.54

how does that look to everyone else
    thanks
    regards
