Natwest Cash & Deposit Machine has stolen my money!

So, I paid £200 into my bank account today, in branch using the 'CDM' machine - which involved keying in the amount you intend to deposit, sticking it in a envelope and feeding it into the machine. Simple right? Apparently not, upon checking my account 5 hours later, where's my £200?! I googled and noted that these machines should make deposits available within 2 minutes. !!!!!!. I've phoned up the bank and they're going to get someone from that branch to 'look at the machine' and call me back. Has any one has this happen to them? I'm freaking out, as that money is desperately needed for Christmas!

What time was the money paid in?
Money paid into the CDM does not require an envelope you feed the cash directly into the machine.
Did you pay the funds into a normal ATM using an envelope?
Did you keep the reciept?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
It's only the insert notes here ones that are within 2 minutes.
Normally the envelope types are either end of the working day or next working day.
It will appear, but you need patience.0 -

I suspect they have paid the money into an ATM not a CDM machine.
As you say the funds will be credited to the account by 15.30 tomorrow.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

Those machines using envelopes do not count the money (they cannot count through the envelope), only the modern type of machines (not using envelopes) will count the money. For the first type of ATM machines, two bank employees will count and when they agree with the amount of £200 pounds, as claimed, they will credit the deposit to your account. The money should show-up in your account by tomorrow. If it doesn't, then you contact the bank.
And avoid such emotive language as "stolen my money". Before tomorrow, the money hasn't even gone missing yet, let alone it is being stolen.0 -
I'm sure RBS has many more lucrative ways to fleece it's customers rather than 'stealing' £200 from an ATM
