That is incorrect, the HMRC calculator gives thresholds at 125, 250, 500, 925 and 1.5m.0

I have just heard the tail end of this on the news. We are about to make an offer of the asking price of £275000. Is anyone able to work out how much stamp duty we would pay please? My (over-excited, rushed) working out of this brings it down to £3750? Down from about £8K? That can't be right, can it?0

Sorry! The figures you quoted above, pinkteapot, do not match what's on the government website ... I just had a panic and went to HMRC to check as by the figures in your quote it would have cost an additional £30,000 for my recent transaction!0 -
