Totally dead battery but it had a hard life so not surprised.
Where is the cheapest and most reliable place to buy a battery for a Samsung GT S 5260 phone please.

I'd personally avoid the likes of ebay, etc as there are too many fakes around
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

    Anker ;)

I would agree, they seem more reliable than Samsung.

Ebay sellers and mobile phone accessory retailers ALL sell the same stuff. I don't know why, but the phone accessory business is just incredibly unregulated.

Unless you buy a genuine Samsung battery from a big name high street retailer, your probably going to end up with the same Chinese made stuff you see on eBay.

The "fake" stuff isn't bad, it's just not as good and not made to conform to the same quality/safety standards.

Fake Britain on BBC did a piece on fake batteries this morning and it included testing fake Samsung batteries. Some very impressive explosions shown in the tests and also some nasty looking injuries received by one lady who had a fake Samsung battery go off in her pocket.

Its on iplayer and well worth a watch if you are considering saving a few quid on fake batteries.

    Ummm.....

Watchdog recently had a feature about genuine Samsung batteries going nuclear...........

The fact is, even in the phone accessory shop run by guy who also owns the kebab house down the street, you can't guarantee your getting anything better than you'd find on eBay. An online business is even worse, you could well be buying from some random who just "drop ships" this stuff in from China.

...therefore for extra security (but not 100% risk free) only buy from legitimate Samsung suppliers ;)

I'm not on a crusade here - just putting it out there as I happened to see it this morning. Its not my problem if someone gets burnt from a dodgy fake battery, or in fact a genuine one either! Its up to each individual to do their own risk assessment.

I have no affiliation whatsoever to Mobile fun, but I can say I've made several purchases from them over the years and if they say it's genuine Sammy then it is.

As lovinituk has already said, if you want to be absolutely sure before pressing the send button then buy from a known official retailer.

Be aware that some high street retailers have a tendency to try it on with the price (for example, O2 stores want £44.99 for a genuine S-View case for the Galaxy S4 although the Samsung RRP is only £24.99).

Easily done, especially if ordering supplies for both your fast food outlet and your phone accessory store :)
