From the little I understand, Eachnet is a little like Gumtree, which mostly carries no fees in the UK. It's a Customer to Customer site..0

sorry I read it as
"EBay China to waive transaction fees amid stiff competition - report"
edit ebay china = eachnet
however this is under-pricing UK sellers0 -
China is a totally different market though. Ebay have never managed to be successful there.enfield_freddy wrote: »sorry I read it as

but they are allowing users from china to list world wide with no fees , causing UK sellers to be financially hindered0

UK sellers already can't compete on postage, the only think they can beat Chinese sellers on is speed of delivery.
A few pence here and there than they may or may not save on fees is not going to make a difference to sales.
It's a global economy now - ebay have no obligation to promote domestic sellers. I sell internationally, and wouldn't expect ebay Australia (for instance) to give Australian domestic sellers extra visibility over my items simply because they're in the same country as the buyer. It's down to the buyer - if they're happy to wait a few weeks for it to arrive, why shouldn't they buy direct from China rather than buy from a UK buyer at a markup?0 -
can we all de register , then register on ebay china , stating goods sent from the UK , and not pay fees?0

Is that what is happening? (Not disagreeing I just never interpreted that).enfield_freddy wrote: »but they are allowing users from china to list world wide with no fees , causing UK sellers to be financially hindered
All the larger sellers will be shop sellers and won't pay listing fees anyway. As I understand how Ebay works, the FVFs are charged by the Ebay the goods are sold on. It looks a bit like a headline grabbing article with not too much knowledge of the facts..0 -
It looks to me like the sole purpose of this is to get Chinese sellers hooked on Paypal. They'll need to throw everything at that before they split later next year..0
