B&M Stores - Delibearately Massively misleading customers?

Because it was branded that way to appear it came from somewhere where it doesnt, the same way the OP is alluding to.
But there source from about 20 Scottish farms. If they were to make a new packaging for each one then rather than just having 1 facing of it they'd have to have 20 so people could see each one.0 -

The only way to judge a "bargain" is to look at the product, look at the price, and see if you think it is good value. Ignore all the "reduced/sale/half price" nonsense.
B&M bargains sell really good stuff at decent prices. This week I have bought a digital clock radio for £25 (similar products elsewhere at least £45), and a small oil filled radiator for £19. i am pleased with them, and have the same consumer rights as in other shops where I might have paid more.
They also sell some rubbish i am sure, but it is cheaper rubbish then comparable rubbish elsewhere0 -

Most stores do a budget brand, a medium brand and a high end brand. Same product, different quality (usually/sometimes).0

Hi all,
Yesterday afternoon whilst shopping in my local B&M store I picked up a duvet cover set. It was in "Home Living" Branded packaging, which looks nothing like the B&M Store brand, more like an up-market brand. On the front of the packet was a price sticker in the same branding as the packaging, which said £16.99.
Stuck next to this sticker was another price sticker, this time in the blue and orange B&M branding, with a price stating "£6.99 or 2 for £12".
I looked at the back of the packet for more product details, and then noticed at the bottom of the packet in small writing it stated that the product was actually made by B&M Retail.
I am of the opinion that what is happening here is that B&M Have created this Home Living Brand (I've searched online and can't find it on sale anywhere else), stuck on the inflated price tag in the same branding to make it appear like a more expensive product, and then slapped on their own price tag at a lower price to give the illusion of a bargain!
I've looked around the store at all sorts of other things - from curtains to bedsheets, to homeware, gardening etc and they seem to be employing this method all over the store .
I just want to run this by you all to get your opinion - Do you think B&M are deliberately misleading their customers??
I have tried calling their head office to ask about this but get fobbed off with the "We'll call you back" response, of course this never happens.
I didn't take any pictures, but I wish I had to show you all!
I also have this post in the Shop but don't drop board - I think it is relevant to both?
Not sure what you think your case is?
Selling up is neither wrong nor is it against the law
Unless you think nicer packaging should be illegal???
Or marking down prices should be illegal? When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

Why do m and s call it lochmuir salmon then if it isnt to mislead?
