I've just received a claim form from Northampton County Court with regard to a parking ticket given by CMS ltd. Any ideas what I should do?

Yes, use the Forum Jump (on the right twice) and click 'GO' to get back to where you started and read the sticky thread 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET, OLD OR NEW? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST!'
Scroll to post #5 of that sticky thread and read it, then read it again (all links in post #5 of it) to show you what to do to defend, what forms to fill in and when, and cases won/example defences. By all means show us your draft defence for help, which should NOT be worded from the driver but from the keeper (unless you previously appealed and already gave away who was driving). Your first priority after reading the NEWBIES thread post #5 is to acknowledge the claim online (register with MCOL). Then you have to follow that with your actual defence within the same month.
Finally, if you actually ignored a PCN - don't do that again!! Advice here changed TWO YEARS ago.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You'll need to get photos of their signage at the location also take some screen shots of their website where there is plenty of evidence that their services are of a deterrent nature, whereas I'm sure they will be suggesting in their paperwork that you've entered some voluntary contractual agreement with them.
Do their signs at the location display both the IPC and BPA logos (seems to suggest so looking at their depiction of signage on their website)?
