Please don't move this thread, I thought it should be on here because there are so many who are in the process of claiming their bank charges back.
The test case is being heard in the High Court today.
see this link http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6918140.stm and keep an eye on it because it will have implications for all.
Fingers crossed x

Don't think it's actually being heard today. Likely to take many months for this to be sorted out i'm afraid.0

Wow - good news - did you get some money back from Barclaycard then? Does that make you any more optimistic about your own claim?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

We got just £112 back, but with no hassle. I think because of the low amount they just paid up, whereas my main claim is now almost £5000 so a different kettle of fish.
Will just wait and see - my court date is next month so trying not to work out which way it will go - I expect it to be adjourned pending the outcome of the test case, so I will be watching the news over the coming days/weeks/months with definite interest!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. From watching the BBC news this morning, I think that most people with court dates for their claims may find that their bank asks for a stay from the county court until this case is heard & judgement issued.
Although the case is being heard today, I think it will probably be a few weeks before a decision is made.
Fingers crossed for everyone still in the process.0 -
