Mini Ipad problem

My aunt has a mini Ipad. She's in her 80's. She knows the number code to 'log on'. I tried to download Flash player so that she could use youtube. A password was requested which she didn't know. I then tried using the prompt clues to re-set the password but the answers she gave just weren't correct. Then we tried getting the password sent to her email account which she doesn't know which is the provider and again.....the password. I'm not sure what to do. The computer was purchased over a year ago at a Currys branch. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is her AppleID her email address? This should be visible in the box that is asking for the password when you try to download the app. Also visible if you go into 'Settings' and then into 'iTunes and App Store'. Once you nkow what her email address is then you can look at recovering the EMAIL PASSWORD so that you can recover the iTunes password.0 -

First you cannot load Flash on an iPad. is it an Ipad or any other small tablet? If she's generically calling it an Ipad but its an android tablet then the instructions below will not work..
DO you know if it was new or used, if it was used there's a chance it was used by someone else, if it was new then the chances are a lot lower, that it had someone's details on.
If she ever bought any app (even free ones) she would have been asked for the iTunes password.
In terms of what you have the PIN code to unlock it, but the Password is probably the Icloud password.
When you get the box to enter the password there should be an email address above it, is that her email address, if anyone else has used it you may be trying to log on to someone else's Icloud account.
Failing that go into SETTINGS, and the details will be under the Icloud settings. Under that is the option to reset the iCloud password if required.
That should help identify the Email provider, and if she does not know the password to the email account you'll have to go through the Email provider to get the password reset.0 -

I know but at this point its not clear what ID / Email the OP's aunt is using.
If we can at least narrow it down to getting the relevant addresses seen on screen the OP's Aunt may recognise them.0 -

If you've gotten as far as seeing the "prompt clues" i.e. the security questions then at some point you must have seen the email address.
If she dosen't know the answers to the security questions or have access to the email address all she can do is call Apple. They can send out a password reset email to another email address (i.e. yours) then you'll be sorted - but they'll have to be able to prove she is who she says she is somehow.0
