Hi all,
We have a small sapling growing from our chimney stack. Daft question, but do I need to contact a builder, a roofer or a chimney sweep?
Thanks!

A gardener would be a better bet :rotfl:
No, a sweep would probably be best. He can have a look, remove the sapling, and also check if any damage has been caused. If there is any damage then he can advise you as to whether it's something he can deal with, or whether you need to call a builder.0 -
Thanks! Though in the meantime I contacted a local chimney sweep who told me I needed a roofer...! I might just put it on myhammer and see who can help.0

I had a similar problem, though mine was about a foot away from the stack. A local roofer came and removed the tree (about 3 ft tall:eek:), and fixed the slate (£30 in the northwest)
Worth remembering that the roots are probably as long as the tree, and, if left, could cause a lot of damage to the walls0
