Anglian Water Problem

Hi there everyone,

I'm looking to get some advice on the situation i'm having with Anglian Water. The property we live in is rented & our lanlord / housing accociation had contacted Anglian Water to set the account up.

When Anglian Water sent the first bill it was in my partners and my name, All bills are in my partners name, she is the main tenant for the property & all other bills are in her name.

I spoke with Anglian Water to have my name removed and so it would just be in my partners name, they said they would remove my name but needed confirmation from my partner first so she could be made aware she would been the main person on the bill and be responsible for it, We did all of this & to our belief everything was sorted.

After arriving home this afternoon i've just listened to a voicemail from the same person that arranged all of this, and they are telling me that they made a mistake and cannot remove my name from the bill after all as i'm living at the property, Either things have changed or this doesn't sound right, Surely i should be able to have my name removed from the bill? If they are saying that because i live here my name should be on it then i question why lots of other people i know aren't on the water bill for the address they live at.

The thing that annoyed me was i checked my Experian credit report and saw the Anglian Water account on there, i never wanted this on there & i never signed anything either. They had told me to have the account removed from my credit report & just on my partners that i would need my name removed from the bill. However after assuming we had sorted that they have now said they cannot remove my name, is this right?
