Holiday Accommodation - Villa

Looking at our options for the next year’s holidays and due to enlarge travelling family we are looking at staying in a villa (Europe/Far east). I would be grateful if you could recommend website(s) which you used to secure your accommodation (owner directly advertising). It would help if you can add your experience, good or bad.
Cheers

I recommend you decide on a destination before seeking private villa rental accomodation, purely on a numerical basis otherwise you will be swamped with possibilities.

thanks for your help, we have limited budget and we are unsure where our money can take us. The idea was to check out some guide prices to get an idea what sort of budget we need to choose a destination.

Surely the big difference will be cost of flights, budget airline to Europe could be £50 each, Far east could be £750 upwards.

I'd personally only pay through official online payment methods of the site or cash on arrival. Other advance payment methods are too risky.
