Digital TVs - how much power do they use?

I've got a 42 inch plasma in my living room - should I be thinking about changing to an LCD before it breaks down or get as much use as I can from it & get the an more enery efficient & cheaper (they seem to get cheaper all the time) LCD?
I'm not sure you'd save money by doing this as the difference in power usage won't be enough to offset the cost of the new tv. Also some would say plasmas produce a better picture than LCD - that's all down to personal opinion of course.0 -
My 60" Sam Plasma uses 125W, the same as my 40" LCD, its not power consumption that is the reason for them being discontinued, its the fact that they cant be made in 4K that cheaply compared with LED.0
