Structural calcs

I have an email in writing now saying that my specs are fine from BC. BR will be followed throughout. I wasnt worried tbh but everyone (quite rightly) flagged up potential issues. I will always protect my interests although people seem to think i miss stuff out but if i dont have to pay for something then i wont (this is a moneysaving website afterall) i dont have an architect as its exactly the same principle. why pay for something you don't need. I enjoy project managing and sorting everything out. Uncle just gets told to do his stuff. i wanted to check as im aware the old ways arent necessarily the ways it might be done now but he's seen enough BI over the years to keep up to date and thats why im paying them to oversee the work!
He started his apprenticeship when he was 14 he's now 74. He doesn't have tea breaks or lunch and doesn't have a labourer, he also doesn't wear any gloves as he cant get them small enough but i suppose he'll probably be wrong about that too
I'm trying to save money building an extension. That is not to say that things will not be done correctly or without permissions but I do things slightly different to most as it suits me better and saves me money! ie no structural engineer = no cost
Ill post some pics when its finished.0
