CoverForYou insurance from hell

I have purchased CoverForYou travel insurance online via their website as they have had very good reviews. How little I knew!
Unfortunately I need to cancel my trip as I had injury few days before flying. I sent them my cancellation claim form in July with confirmation from my GP that this medical condition did not exist before.
CoverForYou changed my insurance starting date without my knowledge breaching contract with me, so that they make my cancellation claim invalid. I have proof of correct insurance certificate with the correct starting day, however in their details it is 3 days later which makes my claim case irrelevant.
I have been trying to contact them via phone, email and letter and the response they keep telling me for 2 months now is: "our technical department is looking at your query". They still have not been able to respond to me and have totally ignored my letter where I urged them to resolve this matter within 7 days otherwise I will contact their commissioner. It still did not help.
I have now written to their Financial Services Commission based in Gibraltar, as their licence is not with UK Financial Services Ombudsman. If they do not help me, my only option will be solicitor.
I would like to let other potential customers know how CoverForYour travel insurance is treating its customers, breaching contracts with them and finding any - even illegal ways so that they do not have to pay for the claims.
