Clamping in Leeds

You have to laugh at stories like this but there is no way that this sort of anarchy should be condoned. If you were illegally parked then you got what you deserved (disabled or not). I would not laugh too much just yet because the clamping company can still take civil action against you ... the police don't care ... they can laugh .. it has nothing to do with them.
So far you have admitted theft and extortion. If the clamping company has your registration, which I am sure they have, then depending on the licence they hold they may simply come and take your car (even if it is legally parked) until you pay your fines ... probably when it is least convenient ... they might even charge you double for the pleasure.
Personally I think they just won't bother ... probably more hassle than it is worth ... but you never know... just keep one eye on your car for a while.

You can remove the clamp so long as you don't damage it in any way. So the superhero isn't really a great ideaMurphy's No More Pies Club #209
