Well im glad im not the only one .
I have been using paypal to pull money from multiply accounts for years. Never had a problem until this month, now im getting the same error message as yourself. Wifes account is working fine and as nobody has said anything on these pages , thought it was just me. Been trying to communicate with paypal ,which is proving to be tortuous to say the least. They tell me the facility is there and there is no restrictions on my account. But cant explain the error message. The only way round i found in the short term at least was to send a pound from each of my bank accounts to my wife's paypal account , which all seemed to go through perfectly fine. I will keep onto them until i can get it sorted.

I spoke to PayPal as well and they couldn't really explain the error. They said the direct debit instruction was set up with my banks and everything looks fine. Do reply if you manage to sort it!

Does it allow more than one direct debit like the Tesco accounts? Or can you have more than one Online Saver?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Only one per online saver but I've got three accounts (two of the same issue)

To meet the new requirement for DDs for the Tesco current account they must be DDs for other than tesco - you cannot use the Internet saver for this.

What you can do is shift "real" DDs to be paid from tesco and use the Internet saver to replace them?

So move telephone, water etc to Tesco and set up DDs from Internet saver for the account where they were paid. Of course if you were using the cash back from Santander 123 account this doesn't work.

Not a good move if you have a current account which will give you cashback for utility bill such as Santader, Natwest.

I've just rekindled an online saver I had with the PO in the past, put in a couple of quid by DCard and was looking how to set up a reg deposit by DD from my nominated ac. - I get 'You haven't got a DD mandate set up - contact customer services'.
So I suspect changes need to go through CS, too.

    Yes.

From the "Regular deposit" menu option select "Amend / cancel existing"

Is it still allowed to have multiple online savers nowadays?

I've applied for a couple of Scottish Widows Internet Savers - they want proof that the accounts I've created direct debits from are my accounts! As they're new accounts, I haven't got a statement to send them, and I didn't ask for a chequebook, so cannot send them a voided cheque either!
