Hi there, I've been with cardsave for 4 years, they started well and got steadily worse.
This year I had a big problem where they wouldn't release funds to my account as they thought their was fraudulent activity as it had been dormant.
I had to verify my details numerous times and I was without money for a month.
Transax rep turns up on my doorstep promising me the land of milk and honey, my contract was almost up so explained it would be an easy switchover, he wrote two letters to cardsave which I signed and posted off and then I waited.
Transax machine turns up but no reply from cardsave, after chasing up cardsave there is no record of my letters arriving (sent first class un recorded
) I'm now getting charged by transax my terminal fee plus non compliance fee. Transax inform me I'm tied to them for 4 years, I would never agree to that length so I'm suspicious, I check the copy of the agreement I've signed and 48mths has been written in by the rep, that page hasn't got a signature box on it but the other pages have.
Also noted is that he has me as a sole trader and not a limited company.
So.... My question is as follows...
Is there a way out of this contract?
Any help greatly appreciated
Michael

I suspect that this is a situation where you might need 'proper' legal advice, of the kind you can rely on. You can't get that here, because you have no idea who we are, so you can't sue the pants off us if we get it wrong.
What sort of sums are involved?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Refer to the terms of the contract that you agreed to.
It should tell you under what terms you may terminate the contract early, if any.
If you are still confused, then do a Savvy_Sue suggests and seek independent legal advice.0 -
hi
alot of these companies sign you up for a 4 year agreement but soletraders and partnerships are only tied for 18 months - read the T&Cs.
i would fire off another letter recorded or special delivery.0
