    well, i posted the letter earlier today.
    but, have just received an email confirming the charge has been waived. turns out SWMBO had disputed it online already!

    Well done Mrs Nape Dog! And looking at the picture it could not be argued that car was 'parked OUTSIDE' of a marked bay!
