I would like to buy dd an ereader for christmas, she is studying law at uni and has a huge amount of reading to do so whatever I buy her needs to cause minimal eye strain and have a wide choice of books, after much research Kindle Fire hd or paperwhite fits the bill, she doesn't really need a tablet to browse on but it would be a nice bonus, does anyone have any advice for me re models that would be good for her and any deals that are around? thanks for any help

Are your daughter's text books available for ereaders? If they are not then there is little point in getting one for her studies.
If you have to flick back and forth through a book a lot, such as you may need to do with a textbook, I find using a physical book a lot easier.0 -
I think you meant Paperwhite , which for less eye-strain is better than the Fire (any e-ink reader tends to be recommended for less eye strain). However the important question is who sells/provides the "material" that she will be spending most of her time/money on4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Thanks they are available we have checked also the sheer volume of books she needs and has to carry makes an ereader a good idea
