Divorce Petition Served - Questions

Hi again
You may recall my previous thread 'Ex refusing to discuss settlement/divorce' which luckily resulted in ex agreeing to a divorce... thank you all for your advice and support.
I'm after a bit more if possible...
Having had confirmation from STBXH's solicitor that he would pay the agreed financial settlement, the costs associated with the divorce as well as return the last of my personal property, I was advised that a draft divorce would be sent for my approval.
I had major surgery last week and while I was in hospital, my personal property was returned as well as a petition for divorce being served.
While I'm annoyed that the solicitor didn't send the draft as agreed, everything seems ok with it. The divorce is on grounds of the marriage breaking down irretrievably and that we have lived apart for a continuous period of at least two years.
The bits that are puzzling me are these;
The petition mentions that the petitioner may be granted a financial order - is this standard for him paying me an agreed settlement?
Question in the Acknowledgement of Service relating to the application to the court for it to consider my financial position and do I object to paying the costs of proceedings. I would say yes as it was agreed that ex would pay costs.
Its frustrating as ex knew I'd be having major surgery, I now have less than a week to acknowledge and I'm not exactly in a position to head off to the solicitors :-/

I would EMail or phone the solicitor, for explanations.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
