i was robbed by ebay

OK this hasn't only "just" happened, it was a few weeks ago but wondered if anyone had the same..

I got my ebay invoice through via email for £92, i buy and sells lots, so fine. Anyway i had just set up a Direct debit mandate with ebay to pay the invoices monthly so i dont have to worry about it.

I got a reminder email saying it was still over due about 4 days later, so i imagined that the DD wasnt set up in time and payed it instantly via Paypal.

Then a few days later i looked at my ebay account to make sure it was paid, and i was £92 in credit!! They had taken the Paypal payment AND DD.

No problem i though... they can just refund me via Paypal as its their own instant payment service..... NO CHANCE they said that a refund will take 90 DAYS!! So they ask me for money i have already paid, then keep in in their bank for 3 months??? I asked them why cant they refund me via their own instant Paypal payment system, they sent me the same scripted email reply repeating themselves that this was not possible (no reason why though).

Thats a total con in my eyes, holding back money for 3 months they have taken in error after demanding payment

i was fuming

thats why they dont have a call centre. To avoid the heat.
I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk

You could reclaim the dd from your bank?

    Personally I wouldn't touch ebay/paypal with a bargepole.
